Fan Bingnan. Artist name: Lao Shan

Fan Bingnan (b. 1946) is a painter and antiques expert. 

 

He graduated from the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. In 1971, Mr. Fan was accepted as a student of Zhao Wangyun, the founder of the Chang’an Painting School; and, in 1978, Mr. Fan began to study under He Haixia, a master of the turquoise mountain-water painting style. Mr. Fan settled in Los Angeles, USA in 1989. He is President of the Lanting Artists Association, President of the Southern California Academy of Painting, a member of the Shaanxi Literature and History Museum, an honorary member of the Shaanxi History Museum, and President of the Dongcang Drum Music Society.
