Fan Bingnan: A Pioneer in the Fusion of Eastern and Western Art
Fan Bingnan, pen name Lao Shan, became a student of Zhao Wangyun in 1971 and He Haixia in 1987, graduating from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. He settled in Los Angeles, USA in 1989, working as a professional painter and antique connoisseur. He is the president of the American Lanting Painting Society, honorary president of the Southern California Academy of Painting, a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Research Institute of Culture and History, and an honorary member of the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum.
